Our Process
Let's build something amazing together! Let's build something amazing together!
Why Process Matters
Our Philadelphia Web Design team is dedicated to the importance of process. We believe that an effective process is essential to tackle complicated projects by breaking them down into smaller, more manageable steps.
Our process has been carefully crafted to promote collaboration and includes five key points of contact to gather your feedback. With our process, you can be confident about what is expected of you and when, and have a clear understanding of the direction the project is headed.
Our process has been fine-tuned over the years to ensure that it is as smooth, effective, and enjoyable as possible for you and your team. Together, let’s create something truly amazing!

Discovery Session
Before starting your website project, it's important to clarify your goals, target audience, and competitors with your web design firm to avoid spending a lot of money on just a fancier version of your old website. If you already have a clear understanding of these aspects, communicating them to your designer will be easy. However, if you haven't done this recently, a discovery session involving staff, leadership, and stakeholders can be arranged to identify your goals. The session will also include a review of your existing website, printed materials, and brand guidelines, and analyzing your competitors to ensure you stand out.

Sitemap & Plan
The initial deliverable for your website project is a sitemap, which outlines the basic flow chart of your website's pages. The sitemap serves to organize the site's architecture and pages for the new website. It helps in identifying content that needs revision or writing. The sitemap should be structured logically to make it easy for users to understand your organization and answer their questions. Important questions to address are: Who you are, what you do, and why you do it. Once the sitemap is finalized, a content plan will be created to identify what content needs to be revised or written, followed by a plan for its completion.

Wireframes
The prototype phase is the next step, where a fully functional website is created with placeholder images, dummy text, and basic functionality. This phase allows clients to navigate the site and experience the user interface without being distracted by design elements. Clients are encouraged to assume the role of a specific user type, such as a donor or program participant, and test how quickly they can find relevant information.
Website Mockups
During the visual design phase, we'll create the site's appearance, including typography, layout, colors, and photography. We will present the homepage and other important pages for your review. If you're not a designer, it might be daunting to provide feedback on the design. Instead, concentrate on the design's mood and if it reflects the image that your target audience associates with your organization. Also, if you've established brand guidelines, it's crucial to ensure that the design meets all specifications at this point.

Revisions
After submitting your draft website, it's important to undergo a thorough revision process to ensure that the site is user-friendly and achieves its intended goals. At our web design company, we use a convenient Markup tool that allows you to add comments and suggestions directly to both desktop and mobile versions of the site. Our revision process typically includes two rounds of revisions. During the first round, you and your team will review the site and provide feedback using the Markup tool. We ask that you carefully consider each request and only include changes that have been vetted and agreed upon by all stakeholders. Once we receive your feedback, we'll review it together to ensure that the changes align with your goals for the site. After our review, we'll make the requested changes and send you an updated version of the site. If necessary, we can repeat this process for a second round of revisions to ensure that the site meets your expectations.
